To Andy, Gene and the rest of you that responded I thank you. I am confident now that I was boned. I have printed out your responses and will present them at next Friday's game.

We play at a place called the North End Club in Ashtabula Ohio. There are 5 tables of eleven players every Friday, 52 weeks per year. Over all 138 players have played in this game to date since January 1st . The fee is $27 with $2 of it going to the championship game to be held in January of 2008. To get into the championship game you must accumulate points. The point system is very primative ( 12 for 1st, 10 for 2nd, 9 for 3rd, 8 for 4th etc. with 2 for 10th. All 55 players are awarded 1 point just for showing up and playing ( I don't get the idea behind that one).

Point leader at the end of the year gets a trophy and $400 North End Club bracelet. Whatever! Should be and has already been fun.

There will also be a Tournament of champions in January consisting of all of the first place finishers during the year.

I just found out about this club six weeks ago and thought I would give it a go. In six weeks I have two 1st place and one 5th place finish in six attempts.

That places me in 12th place out of 138 and has put $920 in prize money in my pocket.

Time to quit my day job...Do you think?
