I like your post and completely agree with it. The magic eBay has is that practically everything that anyone lists for sale, no matter how common, becomes "rare"! Magic.

I'll be listing some casino chips on eBay next week. I think I'll describe some as "common", just for fun. These listings might end up being "rare", as they could be the only listings - EVER - on eBay describing something for sale as "common".
