The true question is....

what kind of glue was used to secure the chip. If you are very, very lucky, it will be a water based adhesive. In this case...simply drop the money clip into a bowl of warm water and wait. If water based glue, the chip will be able to be removed with very little effort. Use a butter knife at the edge and use a gentle pry motion. Then move to the other side of the chip and repeat.

I've tried this on about 6 different money clips. It worked like a charm on just one. The others I think were glued on with epoxy. If epoxy is used forget it!
