A brief explanation grin

I've received a number of emails asking why I didn't get traders and why did I not like that road.

Traders - Jan and I got there around 10:30 planning on getting a bunch of TITO's, slot cards, chips. There were more security guys, pit bosses, and bosses of another stripe that I felt uncomfortable taking what I got. I got a set of 50¢ to $25 for Greg and the ChipBoard and myself. I even got a hard stare when I asked the dealer for two 50¢ chips; I'm not too brave anymore.

Highway 86 - Please don't get me wrong! It would be a nice trip if I hadn't been up and down that road, and CA111 on the other side of the sea, for most of my coaching career at Indio HS. Brawley, Calexico, Central Union, and Southwest HS's used to be in our league and when they opted out of CIF-Southern Section for CIF-San Diego we played them non-league. Conservatively I'd say between 1970 and 1992 I went down there at least eight times a year. I don't know if you've been on 86 or 111 but at one time I could name, in order, the 39+/- washes that CA86 used to cross. My favorite is the Lone Tree Wash a few miles below the INS check point. There are tamarisk trees on both sides of the road so I used to ask the guys down there which one was the Lone Tree. grin

I still have a lot of good friends down there and I may drive down for lunch with a bunch of them at their league meeting. Conversely one couple from Calexico may come up here to visit in a few weeks so I may ask them to pick up a few chips. The casino is 48.7 miles, one way, from my house.

Ok, "...so why is your slot card #1462?" Well the public opening was Monday but they opened for the tribe and dignitaries Sunday.
