you should be able to get it back. It is always a good idea to only send payment to the address that eBay has on record for the seller. If you send payment to an address someone just emails you, you are risking losing it.

Don't blame eBay for this! In dealing with strangers, we all have to take precautions, and work within the structure eBay has set up to protect buyers and sellers.
