There is either one or several people down south that are selling ivory chips in which they have "carved" themselves. I put carved in quotes because the "carving" is being done by a machine. A pattern is read into a computer and voila! a new old chip.

If you see a chip on ebay and intend to bid, if you are not sure as to whether or not it is an antique, please contact me first. Believe me I will have seen the chip on my own before you email me. So you won't be giving me a bidding edge.

I just hate to see people buy chips thinking they are antique when they are not. One fake recently went for $125. That's criminal.
