It was Ivanhoe who relied on Robin's men to help him combat the evil Prince John's forces while waiting for good King Richard to end his vacation on the continent. Elizabeth Taylor was mixed up it that mess, too.

Errol Flynn did a great job as Robin Hood, and Richard Greene was fair to middling (with many DVD's of TV), but NO ONE got close to Basil Rathbone as the Sheriff.
