While we are at it, enough brittney spears. Is it necessary for mankind to revel in the complete physical, mental, and emotional self destruction of another human being?

If the issue is the destruction of lives by self abuse (drugs alcohol etc) then why the emphasis on celebrity. On a daily basis I see much worse human disasters that are entangled in the world of drug and alcohol abuse, child abuse, and the other horrors of life.

We enjoy the soap opera aspect of all of this and it saddens me. But they are far from the only freak shows. Hillary is mad that someone famous (celebrity again) who donated money to her hubby's campaign, thinks somebody else is a better choice for pres than she. Oh by the way, the next general election is more than 18 months away.

I don't expect the world to be uptight and boring, but when I turn on the news, it would be nice if I got news, not Anna Nicole Smith. She is not news, she is a freak stripper who married a near dead billionaire. She is such an embarrassment that red necks and dumb blondes are offended.
