NCR, BankNote of the Day.....

Today’s note comes from a pretty obscure country called Tatarstan in the Russian Federation. It is between the Volga River and its tributary Kama and has only a small population of 3 million people. The note is not the blandest note I have but it is certainly in the top ten of least impressive. This is a 1991 issue 100 Ruble, on the left is the Tatarstan flag inside a circle and to the right is a stylized image of an old 16th century castle Suumbeky in the capital city of Kazan (Qazan). The back is not shown because this is a uniface note or blank on the reverse. The printing is done with an offset press; it appears to have wood based paper, and no security features other than a serial number. This note is UNCirculated and carries a $12.00 book value that I am sure is due to the low printing numbers making it somewhat scarce. ENJOY!
