I just came back from the PO and the ladies were talking about increases of postage rates. I asked "didnt you just do an increase"? Yes and that was mandatory for the retired veterans. This increase will be for packages like we send out. I think they said 1 oz is going to 65 cents and others 2 cents more. I'm not sure exactly when in May and they were very confused to all the changes that will take place. This increase is for the USPO workers. They are getting more and more non scanning packages that it requires a lot more manual work and for the increase of fuel. The regular first class letter is not changing. It will stay at 39 cents.

Anyway, this is what they were disscussing, so look for increases coming at your local USPO office in May.
