I can make colors look any way I want with scanner software. Not suggesting you faked the results but the only way to compare two chip colors in a post is to scan them side by side with the same scanner setting. My guess is it's more likely to be a slight variation in plastic color at the factory, but it's possible a reorder was done selecting a differently named color.
