Unloaded firearms can be carried in checked luggage on most flights. You must notify the airline and TSA at checkin, though. Surprisingly, you can also carry ammunition in the checked bag as long as it's not in the weapon.

However, I believe most casinos prohibit carrying. They probably won't know but...
