So yesterday was a snow day, and my wife and I could use a fresh infusion of cash, so I decided to do my taxes. Since we recently got married we had the option of filling together or seperate. We chose seperate, and she did hers and got back a huge refund. Yesterday,I took the W2 from my full time job and input all the info, and watch as the Turbo Tax software calculated my refund to that point. At that point I had a nice 300 dollar refund, then I inputted my part-time job and watched the the numbers go from green to red, like 700 dollars red.
I freaked out and called my part time job, and they were like we know something happened but there is nothing we can do. Too Bad So Sad. Nothing like the job that gave me 5600 dollars in income costing me a grand at tax time.
