Ebay's latest little surprise for sellers

I was just reviewing my eBay statement for January and noticed they have tweaked the rules again to extract a little more from sellers. It used to be when your chip didn't sell the first time out you could gamble and relist it.. then if it sold the second time you got your entire listing fee for the second listing refunded. Now, if your first listing was on a special sale day like a 10 cent or 20 cent listing day, you only get a credit for the lower of the 2 insertion fees. So if you relisted a $45 item, it will cost you $1.20 to relist it and if it sells you only get a credit for 10 or 20 cents. Certainly takes the incentive out of relisting those $25 chips. So if you are relisting anything from the last sale day the maximum credit you could get if it actually sells is 20 cents. Since that is the max credit, you may want to do all your relistings for chips below a dollar so that you can get a full credit if they sell. Just change the category, price, picture and description.
