Incuse means to hammer or stamp an impression into metal. It appears from the photo that is how the first chip was made. That I get. But the chip on the left also looks as if the design in the center was hammer or stamped in, and not printed or etched. Maybe I still don't get it. What's so smooth about the smooth chip. The inlay is formed by stamping, isn't it?
