Don, I would guess that the chips that bleed were not Clay chips. My guess is they are Chipco's or similar, and in 99% of the cases they are the red ones. My storage has changed as I become more a collector of slightly higher price chips. I have gone to 2-1/2" flips for standard average cost chips. What I consider to be more costly chips I store in PCGS style snap tights. They have a 39 mm flexible insert, that I can label on both side, and holds the chip securely,plus they display very nice.
