For what it's worth, I agree with Gene and have done some research about the bar. The building is still standing at 1234 Madison Avenue in Covington and was run as a bar in the early 1950s. The owner was Lawrence Brockmeier, and old bootlegger.

The joint booked horses, but no one I have talked to remembers formal gambling there and seeing the place it seems unlikely they would have bought chips.

Put the black "RC" smkey chip that we Kentucky boys have called the Rocket Club as another "initial that fits the joint chip".
