Seems like I stirred up a bit of a hornets nest..

however i think Honesty and Integrity are
two of the core elements of what we are...
they are part of the things that make this
club strong and will keep it strong....
Yes, it is the Christmas season....still I
feel that things like honor, honesty and integrity
are year round issues....maybe even more so
during this time of the year....

1. Tracy...an apology in my opinion would be
something like "Steve...I'm sorry ...how can i
make it up to you.....do you want the two chips..
do you want your money back..what can i do to
make this deal right." Not alot of ranting
or raving about making other people happy...
If the posts are true...it sounds like you
got angry and cancelled orders with others...
where are those chips now....we don't really
know....i do know that you sure didn't waste
anytime cashing my check...or canceling the
chip you were going to send.....
Maybe Thunderdome had it right...Break a Deal
Spin the Wheel.....not trying to sound overly
harsh.....but i am trying to make a point...

2. The Ripple Effect...I wanted two chips
because they were going to another person...
I had already sold them to a friend(at cost)
who wanted them as a gift for her husband...
so today I had to scramble and come up with
TWO chips...fortunately I was able to...
although they cost me $45...not a huge loss..
but still my loss...while you were talking
about trying to make more people happy...kinda
like the old Doctor Hook song(i think)..something
like .."we sing about love and peace for $10,000
a show"...angry or not...you've still tripled
your money......

3. The Great Guy Effect....I hope that i'm always
right...my wife says that i'm not even close...
I hope though that if i am ever in the wrong
on this board that my friends will say...
Steve...you're wrong...now make it right...
I hope no one here will ever say Steve's a Great
Guy...so it doesn't matter if he is right or
wrong.....my loving wife says not to worry...
that there is no chance of anyone ever saying
I'm a great guy...in any context....my wife
doesn't seem to have the christmas spirit...

4. Honesty and Integrity..whether we are making
a big deal or small...we are not just exchanging
chips, money....alright...even ashtrays...we
are exchanging our honesty, our integrity
and our reputations.....IN MY OPINION THESE
ARE THINGS OF GREAT IMPORTANCE AND SHOULD
NEVER BE TRADED LIGHTLY.....Tracy...instead
of saying...Steve...how can we work this out...
you said...post away...i have alot of friends..
I am more than willing to give you the benefit
of the doubt that you are an honest person...
but i also believe that a mans actions speak
louder than his words.....

5. Tracy has sent me an apology...

Ok! I was wrong. I had already admitted to that. I also wrote you asking for your help. I did not write saying "Screw You". All I was trying to do was help. And with that I get repromanded. Sure, I messed up. But I was just trying to make things good. Any way I do appologise for the hassle and if I could make it right I would. I am through with trying to help chippers. Its just to much hassle, and believe it or not. I am a man of his word. Your money is on the way. Merry Christmas and good luck with your chip collecting

on and lay this to rest....although we are both
probably a little unhappy at the moment..the
world has not stopped spinning and we both
probably have more important things happening
in our lives...from the number of responses from
people who say positive things about you I
am choosing to believe that you are an
good and honest person....so I wish for you only
good things....and I truly hope that you
and your loved ones have a very Merry Christmas..
