In my capacity as the OTY Awards Chairman, I am filling an appointed/volunteer position within the . As with all appointees, we serve at the discretion of the Board and I would hope to be able to full-fill this position through-out the current (2006) Awards contest and future contests barring any conflict of interests that I have not foreseen in my evaluation of this situation.

In as much that it not unusual for a Board member to also serve in an otherwise, appointed/volunteer position, I see no issues at the present time.

However, it would not be up to me to make the decission. Although I would certainly express my desire to continue, but in the end, it would be the Board that would be making the final decission and I of course would need to recuse myself in that decission making process.

I still have plans on wearing my Tux at the Early-Bird Banquet in 2007.
