In the past 6 months, I have been to casinos in St Louis, Kansas City, & Los Angeles. In the next 3 months I will be in Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Atlantic City, and San Juan PR. Some for work, some for play. I know -- rough life...

I always pick up a small handful of nice condition chips ($1s & $5s), for my collection and for a few traders. I am wondering whether I should be doing something different.

I would pick up more for trades but, I collect mostly older Nevada and there seem to be few opportunities to trade new for old due to collector habits and value differences.

I could pick up a stack of current chips and make them available on this board, but I figure these are the chips everyone has or can get easily anyway. I play poker, and that tends to be the bigger, more well known casinos.

Please lend a hand to a 1st year collector -- what would you ladies and gents do if you were me?
