My dad was there at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.
He never really talked about it much when he was alive. I do remeber one time back in the 1950s we were watching a program called " Victory at Sea". They were showing the Pearl Harbor raid and sailors were were racing up and down the ladders on the ships, and as little kids my sisters and I thought that was kind of funny. I'll never forget the way he told us" Don't laugh, That's not funny". I don't think I said a word the rest of the night.
