Again, I personally have no problem with collecting them. In my Canadian collections, I have many roulettes and probably some tournament chips. But your logic on justifying seems a little weak to me.

Couldn't we argue that stealing slot machines from casinos for "historical preservation" is justified if we do not intend to re-tool them to win and return them to the casinos?
