You are better off not cleaning the silver token at all. If you must, use a sliver dip and wash well with water afterwards. ANYTHING abrasive, cloths, brass cleaner, silver polish, or toothpaste will put micro stcratches on the token. You won't see them unless you look with a glass, but if you are keeping the token for your collection, don't polish it! If you plan to put it in a holder and use as a keychain or neck pendant, then whatever makes it look nice is fine as it will get lots of scratches from use anyway.
