A Campaign Message; ccgtcc Recruiting New Members...

I've posted this message on the ccgtcc Message Board:

Several days ago I posted my Campaign Message on this Message Board and it included several ideas, concepts and leanings that I would like to put forth should I be elected to the position of Club Secretary. One of those subjects was new member recruitment and I would like to expand on that a little bit more here.

CONCEPT - Establish a Recruitment Director position within the Club, who in turn will:

Develop a recruitment program that sets up a network of people (Club members) strategically located around the US (and the World as possible). In principal, those strategic locales are gaming locations so that Club literature and other promotional materials can be appropriately displayed at a primary source of unaffiliated collectors and potential collectors; The casinos.

The Recruitment Director (RD) will set-up a pool and solicit donations (no monies), from Club members, both at-large and those in the network and also casinos, gaming supply companies and other casino related memorabilia sources, for follow-on dissemination to new members as an enticement to join or try-out a membership.

The RD will have a mailing budget, a supply of the Club's Casino Collectibles Buyer's Guides, back issues of CCTN’s and Applications for dissemination to the network and placement at acceptable venues, mostly casinos.

The RD should be someone who, as result of his or her job or personal life-style travels a great deal, mostly in the US. The Club will not be paying for the travel, but the RD must be an active traveler to hold the appointment.

The RD will not be eligible to claim sign-up credit of any new member and will, based on statistics provided by the Club’s Membership Officer perform the duties associated with the Club's Robert “Bob” Mera, Recruiter of the Year Awards program. By not being a potential winner of the Mera Award the RD avoids the appearance of a conflict of interest.

The RD must be out-going, friendly and persuasive. He/she must be a member of the various local clubs, at the expense of the ccgtcc, or through special arrangements with the individual Clubs.

This then would be an additional element of Club recruitment that leverages on what has been done in the past, and will benefit and sustain our future.

I have not included full details, as some of the formation of the Recruitment Director's duties will be developed by the individual selected.

Moreover, this concept does not need to await my election to the Board of Directors, as the current Board is free to pick up on the idea and move forward on their own.

Please feel free to comment on this subject, either here or by email. I thank every one of you for reading this message and respecfully request your support in this concept and also my election effort. Please feel free to comment on this subject by email, or, preferably, on the ccgtcc Message Board at this link: http://www.ccgtcc.com/cgi-bin/mb/webbbs_config.pl?noframes;read=24317 which is where this same message is posted.

Respectfully,

Jim Follis
Candidate for ccgtcc Secretary
