I don't think anyone here suggested our troops don't deserve more compensation, but I also didn't see that as the meaning of your original post. You started out with an extreme example by using pro athletes salaries as compared to service men's and women's salaries.

Had you wondered why we "value" the people working the assembly line at GM more than our soldiers, you would have received different responses I'm sure.
