As I said, food for thought...

It is always interesting to me to see how people respond to an individual's thoughts. I didn't really view his musings as something to be contemplated as true or false, or even question whether he wrote it. Having been a fan of Ben Stein's writings for some years, I recognized his style and so the authenticity was never a question.

One of his thoughts that I agree with is the inane “interest” in public figures (actors, singers, etc.) lives and the often exaggerated credence a lot of individuals attribute to “stars” (i.e. Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise, etc.) just because of their stardom.

I admire President Bush. He openly and readily admits he believes in God and does not concern himself with the potential political offense to others who do not or who have a different belief. It is HIS belief and he champions it. I also do not believe we are a nation of atheists and I also am tired of our propensity to continue to cater to the vocal (and often rude) minority.

I am happy that we continue to have the freedom to express our opinions and beliefs.
