I have three of the 25c chips from Lodge 99. The print on the inlay varies from navy to red. I see Rich has only one scanned on his comprehensive crest and seal site. I'm wondering if these result from fading, different orders, or something else? The inlay on the other side also varies somewhat in color, both the background and the building color. The chips are all the same shade of blue (or purple).

My guess is the blue is being bleached out of the purple printing since the ones with more yellowed background show the least blue. I see no detail differences in the designs to indicate new artwork was made.
