eBay is great...

When buying, that is. You can get some really GREAT deals on casino chips if you are willing to spend the time it takes to plow through thousands of auctions. I attend the CC & GTCC convention each year, however, I'm buying fewer and fewer chips from the dealers at the show and more chips off of eBay. Chip show pricing is going up higher and faster than prices on eBay, in my opinion. Obsolete chips frequently (I did say frequently - not always) sell on eBay for half, or less than half (sometimes WAY less than half) of the asking prices I see at chip shows. I'm not talking about chips that are truly rare, as you have to buy them wherever you can find them. Complain as much as you want to about eBay, but year after year it's where I find the best deals on obsolete casino chips.

Yes, I do buy many chips from chip dealers every year, I am not against them. Most of the newly released chips I buy come from dealers and I'm very happy with the pricing and service I receive. There are some wonderful dealers out there.
