Final Resolution of Bandwidth Problem....

... as you remember a month or so ago I got hit with $1400.00 in bandwidth overage charges (3 TERRA BYTES = 3,000 GIGS) in only 4 days. I paid them in good faith (they had my credit card on file anyway). I began talking to technicians, billing dept people, server admins, and etc. The technicians were the greatest but had the least authority when it came to money, especially refunded money. But one technician gave me the email to the president's office where 4 people answer his mail and have complete authority.

Before I could resolve this I got hit with another $1400.00 charge. I bit the hook once, and that was it for me. It was an automatic 'renewal' for bandwidth overages. WHAT?? Anticipated overage?? No way! After 4 days of being the biggest A$$hole I could be and a huge pain I got it removed from my bill.

I got software that converted logs of usage and discovered that what I thought did happen. ONLY it happened in a MUCH smaller magnitude than GoDaddy alleged. I set out to have them PROVE my overage OR refund the money and I was willing to go to court if neither was done. I explained I thought it was an honest mistake and if corrected would be no problem. After a week, guess who has a $1400.00 refund and 3 additional FREE months of hosting! PLUS a guarantee that the 'automatic' renewal of bandwidth overages would be not charged again to my account.

Trust me this was NOT an innocent until proven guilty thing. I was guilty, no one wanted to listen, and had to prove my point without tools and resources. LUCKILY I WON, (this time) the principal meant much more than the money but $1400.00 ain't change either!
