I too am sorry that you took my response to be poking fun at you. Of course, not knowing the inside joke, I/we had to take it at face value, and I gotta say, I would repeat my sentiments exactly if I see a similar obit in the future, though perhaps add a "well, maybe it was an inside family joke" as well. Live and learn.

I would still come back and haunt my kids if they put anything casino- or chip-related on my obit. Unless, of course, it is an inside joke that has yet to be made ;)

Nobody can judge how one would act in such a situation until one goes through it. I have yet to go through this one. I certainly feel for you, however, and attempted to get that across in my post as well.

I'm certainly sorry about your loss. And Aaron is right, if it is an inside joke, to hell with those of us that don't get it. But I would hope that I, if in the same position, wouldn't take to heart and hurt from what is read into it by an "outsider".
