Just returning from a week on the Maine coast. Visited Bar Harbor and the National Park nearby

Yes, you're right, there are no casinos in Maine [g]. However, I got this close to one on a cruise ship. Docked about 200 yards from my window. They wouldn't let me come on to play though. I believe there is another wet casino near Bar Harbor... the "Cat", high speed ferry to Nova Scotia. I didn't take the trip, but the brochure said they have a casino open after they reach international waters. If I remember right, this is the ferry that uses the chips with no name... just a nautical flag.

If you are on the east coast and interested in seeing the fall foliage, this is the week for Maine. The trees between Bar Harbor and the airport in Bangor were over 50% turned. This week should be great! I would imagine that 7-10 days later would be the time to visit NH and Vermont.
