Front page story in yesterday's Press of Atlantic City had a photo of Steve Wynn scouting potential properties in A.C. to build a new casino. He met with NJ Governor Corzine and A.C. Mayor Bob Levy about a possible casino project. One possible location discussed was Bader Field, which will close as a 150 acre bayside municipal airport on Saturday, near Sand Castle Stadium on Route 40, not far from Hilton.

I don't think that this property is presently zoned for casino construction ... The city has been talking about developing the property after the airport closes as a residential and commercial use ... but with the right incentives, anything is possible in A.C. politics.

Also under Wynn's consideration is a large parcel of land in the Marina District held by MGM Mirage, Inc., where Borgata, Trump Marina and Harrah's are presently located.

It was reported that Wynn liked what he saw in Atlantic City.
