On September 11th, Jim Follis posted a message regarding these chips and that a new rack had been put into play and that all the chips even down to the $1 chip had RFID tags. His message was a confirmation that these chips had tags in them:

After seeing this message, I purchased a couple of the $1 chips and also the two of the $5 chips to see if my RFID reader/antenna could read the tag numbers embedded within the chip.

Unfortunately the tags used by the chips are not compatible with my RFID reader. My reader never triggered a response when I waved the chips over the sensors.

I was able to also confirm and verify by other methods that these chips do in fact have RFID tags. Shown below is an X-Ray of the $1 along side another $1 from a different casino. You can clearly see the tag within the chip on the left. The entire tag and it's antenna is about the size of the inlay.
