Good morning all. I know that Von has kept some updated via e-mails as to what has taken place with me. Thought I would take a few lines of print and give what info we have. A MRI that was done 22 days ago showed a growth on the right side of the brain. 5 days later one of the top doctors in the country stated that we need to remove this. We had to wait 1 week, as I am on plavix and asprin, which you must be off for 5 to 7 days before surgery. They preformed surgery on 9-6. They fully opened up the head with the intention of removing this. (Got over 100 stitches) They made a decision that if the removed it there was a 95%+ chance that they would paralyze my left side 100%. They did take a biopsy. (Malignant, stage 4) Got released 1 week ago today. Went back to CINN (Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuro Research Tuesday of this week and they did a procedure which is called Gamma Knife. (Non invasive) radiation surgery. I will start radiation and Chemo treatments mid next week at a local Hospital.

Some of the meds I’m on drive your blood sugar crazy, so I’m using Insulin up to 5 times a day. Denise (RN) having been in the medical field for 15 years has it good and bad points. She fully understands how deep a doo doo I got myself into. It also got me out of the hospital up to two days early.
