The two times I was there the closest I got was the visitor’s center. The last time was in 2001 and we were there for a "night-shoot" in honor of Ruth Ziolkowski's 75th birthday. Not quite as spectacular as I thought it would be but it was really nice singing Happy Birthday to Mrs. Z and being served birthday cake by one of her daughters.

One other thing that needs mentioned (that I forgot) is the Ziolkowski family is doing it all on their own and have refused many offers of corporate and government funding. They don't want anyone telling them what story it should tell, what it should look like, etc...
