You raise a good point Michael ... one that I've made on previous occassions.

CC & GTCC with it's estimated 3000 members has lots of untapped political clout if the membership would become political activists on issues that affect this hobby. While there may be legitimate differences of opinion on the slabbing issue ... I don't think there are too many club members who object to including casino chips in any HPA legislation.

Having said that..., it will probably be years before the window of opportunity will present itself again. Collectors had their chance in 2003, but the commissioners weren't paying any attention and apparently left the HPA language as is and closed the window. It was less work for them to maintain the staus quo.
