I really don't mean to be difficult, but I don't understand what you are saying. Why do you say the term "slabbing" cannot be applied to casino chips? Do you understand that definitions in statutes are generally intended to be used exclusively to understand and enforce the provisions of the statute itself, and not as legal definitions of words to be used in other contexts? Does it even say that slabbing is a process used only on coins, bills, etc? It seems to me that every group is free to use its own jargon. In the casino chip collecting world, apparently, by common usage, "slabbing" may include the incapsulation of casino chips. This may be true, even if the term is being used incorrectly in another context. It is a simple matter of common acceptance. Does that rule not apply in this case? If so, why not?
