As promised, this is an encore message for those of you who might have missed the one I posted last night (with the corrected spelling.)

I've had only 3 responses so far. I know there's more people out there in the hinderland somewhere.

No activity has taken place as far as local get togethers are concerned for some time now. It is everyones fault that this has happened even though much interest in renewing the unauthorized chapter has been expressed over various times.

Todd Dingley has done a great job as president of our chapter for the past many years (I've been up here since 2000 and he has been president even before that time.) Problem is he was doing all the work without support except possibly some from Steve Blust, but since Steve moved, it's all back to just Todd.

At our convention, quite a few people from our area expressed a renewed interest and to add to that, a lot of new people that I met at the Reno show this past weekend are also interested in joining up--not necessarily as a part of the CC>CC, but just as a group of collectors even though all are members of the national club.

Since I am one of the few members that attend both the national convention and the Reno show that live in this area, I am naturally the one that many people contact. So in the light of this background, I have voluneer to do the following:

1. post this message on the BB for all readers to see and if anyone is intereted in reuniting the unofficial Nor-Cal group, contact me via e-mail with you full name and address. Membership on the CC>CC is not a requirement (but preferred.) I will try to maintain this new list and turn it over to Todd and many of the newer people who express an interest in doing a lot of the leg work to reestablish our group.

My dearest mother use to tell me that if you want something done, give the job to the busiest person--the one that is completely overwork--and you can be sure he will do this job quickly and with precision. Those are some of the people I me this past weekend. They are new blood and will generate a new interest in our membership.

So, if anyone would care to interested themselves in a regrouping of a Northern California/Nevada get-togethers that live anywhere between the Reno Area and the Left coast with all area inbetween, please email me with your name and address.
