I checked, and found no reference to any of this on CardPlayer.com, PokerPages.com or the poker section on ESPN.com. In fact, on ESPN.com, Phil Gordon wrote the following:

Jamie "Ari" Gold, the winner of the championship event, is reported to have tipped $2 million of his $12 million prize money to the dealers and floor staff of the WSOP.

Let's just say that I'm skeptical about that story at this point. JMHO
