The main problem with Carnival and many of the smaller companies is how they distribute the tips. With Carnival there might be 25 dealers on a ship but the tip pool will have 30 people in it. They spilt the tips with pitbosses, cashdesk, hosts and anyone else they can underpay in the casino. That's why RCI and Princess are the best companies as the dealers are the only ones to get the tips. I worked for Oceanic Leisure and they kept 1/3 of the tips, 1/3 went into a tip check which was given to you at the end of your contract and you would get to have 1/3. The ship that I worked on no one every finished the contract as they would be fired so that they would not receive there tip check from head office. When you work on ships you have very little rights.
