According to HBO ...
In Response To: Today in Poker History! ()

Wild Bill, for the first time, sat with his back to the door. HBO led viewers to believe that Wild Bill was sick and half expected to get shot.

I don't recall the fifth card.

I believe that HBO researches it's historical topics very well.

However I do recall that HBO portrayed ivory poker chips as the currency in play. I thought it very accurate that the $1 chip had a flower (or leaf) on it instead of the number 1. As all ivory collectors know, the number one is rarely used on ivory chips.

Below is a typical set of ivory chips ($1, $5 and $25)
