For the future...you may just want to scan them while still in the airtites. You don't want to risk getting any finger oils at all on the coin as it'll tarnish for sure. It's pretty standard to scan them in the airtites, and the scans come out just fine. I think when people see strikes out of the airtites, they get very nervous (like me).
