I was surprised by the number of people I encountered at the convention who said they had no computer.

On the one hand I am a little saddened that they are missing so much information that is accessable only through the internet, and the easy instant communication of email.

On the other hand I envy their old-fashioned, lazy paced, no pressure style of collecting. They are still enjoying their hobby in a relaxed manner that is long ago lost to most of us.

For me, I can't imagine trying to pursue this hobby without a computer. But still I feel that maybe I am missing something. Maybe an unnamed quality that is integral to what hobbies and collecting are all about.
