Really? Governor Corzine wants to raise the state sales tax to 7% to solve the budget deficit after promising in his campaign speeches that he would not raise any taxes in one of the most heavily taxed states in the nation. That's being "smart"? When New Jerseyans start crossing the rivers to adjoining states like New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware on big ticket items to avoid the increased NJ sales tax, that's when Corzine will realize his folly.

Next year ... who is looking at next year at this point in time?? The previous 15 (or more) budgets by previous NJ governors were delivered on time! It's on Corzine's 2006 watch that his committee didn't deliver a balanced budget on time THIS YEAR, not next year! INEXCUSEABLE!!
