I tip 5% on a hand pay, doesn't matter if I'm up or down. ...and since every hand pay jackpot I've won except for one has been at a video poker bar on progressive machines, I split it so the bartender gets as much as the person bringing the cash, because the bar players tend to move on after the progressive hits.
