Have seen the same elsewhere also.
Caesars LV have the same variations - new orders are shiny inlay.
I peeled a couple to look further. Seems like while the older inlays with cross hatching are a 'two piece' inlay comprising a paper type label and plastic 'lens', the newer ones seem to be a single layer plastic which is possibly affixed later in the process.
