NCR No surgery for Richards in New Zealand

For all the Stones fans out there; It looks like Keef has finally turned up in NewZealand and is resting until the end of the month when the European leg of the tour starts. Story below:

Cheers

AUCKLAND, New Zealand, May 5 (UPI) -- A spokeswoman for Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards says reports he would undergo surgery in New Zealand for his head injury are not true.

Richards fell from a coconut tree in Fiji last week and was flown to Auckland, New Zealand, for treatment of a mild concussion. He was released from the private hospital earlier this week, but some British newspapers said he suffered some bleeding on the brain and would to have a hole drilled in his skull to alleviate pressure.

Rolling Stones rep Fran Curtis told the BBC Friday that Richards was "feeling good and in good spirits."

She did not say when the 62-year-old rocker would be leaving New Zealand, but said he would be with the British band when it kicks off the European leg of its "A Bigger Bang" tour in Spain on May 27.
