the conventional keychain rings and money clip holders for casino chips do not protect the chip from abuse.

Although Terry recommends suggesting a new project to Rich, I have found a way to protect most chips in these types of holders.

Using a plastic flip, not the soft ones, but the harder ones without PVC, I cut two layers into a circle slightly larger than the chip and place each layer on either side of the chip when mounted in the holders.

Over time these will become scratched and can then be replaced. I am also carefull to not spin the chip in the holder, as this will abrate the outer edge.
