In Response To: Life Members a Burden? ()

If life membership is 15 times annual dues, that is more than fair to the club. Forgetting even that some die shortly after paying for a life membership and that some quit the hobby (and cancel their subscriptions) shortly after joining, I figure it takes 24 years to "come ahead". Double check me. But at 4% annual interest (or rate of return) and compounding annually, I figure you could invest $150 now, and at 4% get a stream of about 24 annual payments of $10 each.
