Charlotte is a great airport. Free WIFI, rocking chairs, lots of places to eat/shop in the central hub between the terminals.

Downside is it means you are probably flying USAirways.... sorry bout that....

Smoking
Charlotte/Douglas International is a "smoke free" facility like all other City-owned facilities in Charlotte. Smoking is prohibited in all public areas of the Airport except for some leased areas that may have designated smoking areas such as bars and lounges. All designated smoking areas have been improved with enhanced air circulation. Smoking is allowed outside the terminal building on the upper and lower levels.
